Welcome to PC FINLOANS ("PC FINLOANS", "we", "us", "our"), operated by People Connect Group (Pty) Ltd. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information in line with South African law, including the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA), the National Credit Act 34 of 2005 (NCA), the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 (ECTA) and the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA).
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and share it, how we protect it, and the rights you have.
1Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to:
- visitors to our website (pcfinloans.co.za);
- prospective customers who request a quote or apply for credit;
- current and former customers;
- individuals who contact us via WhatsApp, email or other channels.
This Policy should be read together with our Credit Agreement, Debit Order Mandate (if applicable) and any related terms provided during the application process.

3Your Consent and Lawful Processing
By using our website, submitting an enquiry, or applying for credit, you acknowledge that we may process your personal information for the purposes set out in this Policy.
Under POPIA, we may process your information on one or more lawful grounds, including:
- to take steps prior to entering into a contract and to perform our contract with you (e.g., assessing and administering your loan);
- to comply with legal obligations (e.g., NCA-related affordability checks and required record keeping);
- for legitimate interests (e.g., preventing fraud, securing our systems, recovering amounts due);
- with your consent where required (e.g., certain marketing communications).
Right to object / withdraw consent: You may object to certain processing (especially direct marketing). If you object to processing that is necessary for a loan assessment or agreement, we may be unable to proceed with your application.
4What Personal Information We Collect
We may collect the following categories of personal information (depending on what you do on our website and the product you request):
4.1 Identity and contact details
- Full name, ID number and/or passport number
- Date of birth, gender (where relevant for verification)
- Phone number, email address
- Residential and postal address
4.2 Financial and affordability information
- Income details, employment information and related supporting documents
- Bank account details (for disbursement and repayment)
- Proof of residence and other documents required to assess affordability
- Expense and obligation information you provide
- Transaction and payment history relating to your loan
4.3 Credit and verification information
- Credit bureau information (including credit profile, enquiries, and repayment behaviour)
- Verification results (e.g., identity verification, bank verification) where applicable
- Fraud prevention and risk indicators

- IP address, device identifiers, browser type, operating system

4.5 Communications
- Records of correspondence, WhatsApp messages, emails and call records

6Why We Use Your Information
We process personal information to:
- identify and verify you;
- communicate with you and respond to enquiries;
- assess your eligibility and affordability under the National Credit Act;
- make a credit decision and conclude a credit agreement (where approved);
- set up, administer and service your loan;
- disburse funds and collect repayments (including debit order processing where applicable);
- provide statements, settlement figures and support;
- detect, prevent and investigate fraud, money laundering and other unlawful activity;
- manage risk, auditing and internal governance;
- comply with applicable legal and regulatory requirements;
- enforce our rights and recover amounts owed (including collections and legal action where necessary);
- improve our website, services, user experience and product design through analytics and testing;
- send service-related messages (e.g., payment reminders, notices, changes to terms);
- send marketing communications only where permitted by law and/or where you have opted in, and always with an opt-out option.
7Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal information to third parties for marketing.

- Credit bureaus (for credit checks and reporting in line with the NCA and bureau rules);
- Banks and payment partners (for disbursement and repayment processing);

- Customer support service providers (where we use external support tools);
- Debt collection partners and legal advisors (where accounts are in default, subject to lawful process);
- Regulators and authorities (e.g., NCR or law enforcement) where legally required or permitted;
- Auditors and professional advisers (under confidentiality obligations).
All service providers must:
- process information only on our instructions (where applicable);
- implement appropriate security safeguards; and
- keep your information confidential.
8Credit Bureau Checks and Reporting (Important)
If you apply for credit, we may:
- perform credit bureau enquiries as part of affordability and risk assessment; and
- report certain account conduct and payment behaviour to credit bureaus as permitted/required by the NCA and industry rules.
This may affect your credit record.
9Cross-Border Transfers
We prefer to process and store data in South Africa. However, some service providers (e.g., hosting, cloud services, analytics) may process information outside South Africa.
If we transfer personal information across borders, we will ensure that:
- the receiving country has adequate protection, or
- the transfer is subject to appropriate safeguards (contractual protections), or
- it is otherwise permitted under POPIA.
10Cookies, Analytics and Website Tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to:
- keep the website working properly;
- improve performance and user experience;
- understand how visitors use our website;
- support security and fraud prevention.

- request correction or deletion of inaccurate, irrelevant, excessive, outdated, misleading or unlawfully obtained information;
- object to processing in certain circumstances;
- withdraw consent (where processing is based on consent);
- lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator.

14Direct Marketing Preferences
Where we send marketing communications, you can opt out at any time by:
- using the unsubscribe option in the message (where available), or

15Children / Minors
Our services are intended for persons 18 years and older. If you are under 18, you may not use our services or submit personal information to us.
